Fuchsia Fan

Description

The Fuchsia Fan in hand-painted silk is inspired by this velvety flower. Its fuchsia and purple petals hang like earrings or tendrils, giving this curious flower its Spanish name, ‘Pendientes de la Reina’. The harmonious composition of the bouquets against the fan’s turquoise background makes this model a true delight for the senses.

The entire process for each Fuchsia Fan is handcrafted in our own workshop. We begin by designing the silk pattern, then drawing and coloring the silk piece while stretched on a frame, and fixing the dye with steam. The fan-making process continues with sizing the silk, pleating, mounting it onto Spanish pear wood ribs with the “aea” (Artisan Spanish Fan) seal, and the final finishing. The result is a unique, exclusive, and fully artisanal piece.

Care

We recommend storing the fan folded with its elastic band to maintain the pleats, and placing it in its case for protection.

Materials and Size

The leaf, or painted silk piece attached to the ribs, is 36 g/m2 natural habotai silk. Initially white, it is painted on a frame before assembly using special steam-fixed silk dyes.

The ribs are made of Spanish pear wood, polished on both sides, with the “aea” Artisan Spanish Fan seal.

The length of the hand-painted silk Fuchsia Fan is 27 cm.

Shipping times

Orders have a maximum shipping time of 15 days once payment is confirmed, although if in stock they are prepared the same day or the next day from 10:30 to 13:00, once payment is confirmed.

They will be sent by express courier to be received within 2 or 3 days from shipment if within mainland Spain and 3 to 6 days if outside. You will receive a confirmation email when the item is dispatched.

No shipments are made on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
